UICISA: E is internationally recognized for its contributions to the development of nursing and health sciences, specifically in the areas of experimental and applied research in health technologies, evidence-based practice, mental health promotion, active and healthy aging, and pedagogical innovation.

Mission

To develop R&D activities in the field of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, at an interdisciplinary and international level, with the aim of providing a sustainable and socially responsible response to complex problems related to health promotion, disease prevention, care for people with diseases, and end-of-life care, towards integrated people-centered care.

Main objectives

  1. To advance and apply scientific knowledge in nursing and allied health sciences, mainly in co-creation with citizens, aligned with UICISA: E’s priority health research topics, through national and international collaboration, to promote evidence-based nursing care;
  2. To promote researchers’ training, from initiation to advanced research;
  3. To promote a scientific and technological culture and citizen science, and to carry out actions of special relevance to society in order to generate responsible research and innovation, contributing to health promotion, scientific literacy, and regional wealth;
  4. To conduct applied research and technological innovations in healthcare aimed at delivering innovative products and improving existing technologies in healthcare to improve health outcomes;
  5. To disseminate scientific knowledge.
